Our Local Offer to Children with disabilities and special educational needs (SEND), and their families.

Any child may at some point need extra help and support and here at St. George’s we ensure that all children are included and make sure they access a curriculum suited to their needs.

We feel it is vital to identify children needing extra support as soon as possible. Individual programmes will then be set up to meet the children’s needs. This will always be done in consultation with parents, the children and, where necessary, outside agencies.

Children will be supported in their classroom, in small groups and in 1 to 1 programmes. In addition to this we have a small Nurture Group which provides a tailored curriculum for a small group of pupils in the morning.
