Are your bags packed? Are you ready to go? Here are a few last minute reminders of things that you'll need.
Clothes - a bit obvious but remember that you need to be dressed for lots of outdoor activities and all kinds of weather. You will need:
t-shirts (not vest tops)
sweatshirts, hoodies or jumpers
trousers, trackies, jeans, leggings or shorts
socks and pants (enough for five days and a couple of spares)
trainers - we do a lot of walking so a proper pair of trainers (or walking boots) really makes all the difference
a waterproof coat/jacket - we will do days out and walks whatever the weather so make sure you are prepared
bed sheet (preferably fitted)
Toiletries - make sure your wash bag has the products you need to stay as fresh as a daisy but keep it simple. Remember:
soap and flannel
shampoo and conditioner (if you need it)
toothbrush and toothpaste
towels (1 hand, 1 bath and 1 for the beach)
You will also need
day rucksack (big enough for your packed lunch, coat, beach clothes and towel)
packed lunch box and packed lunch for Monday
small amount of spending money (£5 maximum)
tea towel (very important and often forgotten)
plastic bags for dirty clothes
Medication - if you need to take any medication (including for travel sickness) make sure it is clearly labelled and handed to Mrs Smith on Monday morning (except for blue asthma inhalers which you must keep with you.)
electronics and electrical items including phones, tablets or games, hairdryers and straighteners are not allowed
you will have to take your luggage from the bus to your dorm so don't pack the kitchen sink!
