Special Educational Needs and Disability

Any child may at some point need extra help and support and here at St. George’s we ensure that all children are included and make sure they access a curriculum suited to their needs.

We feel it is vital to identify children needing extra support as soon as possible. Individual programmes will then be set up to meet the children’s needs. This will always be done in consultation with parents, the children and, where necessary, outside agencies.

Children will be supported in their classroom, in small groups and in 1 to 1 programmes. We are proud to be a Talk of the Town school and our staff have excellent speech and language skills.

Our SENCo is Mrs McWilliams, if you have any concerns or worries about your child’s SEN needs please do not hesitate to contact her. (tel: 01482 351013, email: C.mcwilliam@st-georges.hull.sch.uk )
